Launchmetrics said Sept. 5 that it raised $50 million in financing led by Bpifrance. Also investing were Seventure, Cipio Partners and Famille C (Famille Courtin-Clarins). Launchmetrics, of New York, provides a marketing platform and analytics solution for the fashion, luxury and cosmetic industries.
Pagaya said Aug. 30 that it raised $14 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Oak HC/FT and Harvey Golub, former chairman and CEO of American Express. Also participating were GF Investments, Siam Commercial Bank, Clal Insurance Ltd and Viola Ventures. Pagaya, of New York and Tel Aviv, is a loan assessment startup.
Terra said Aug. 29 that it raised $32 million in seed funding form investors including Polychain Capital, FBG Capital, Hashed, 1kx, Kenetic Capital, Arrington XRP Capital and TransLink Capital. Terra, of Singapore, is designing a price-stable digital currency for payments.
Foodsby Inc raised $13.5 million in Series B funding led by Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking. Other investors include Series A funding partners Greycroft Partners, Corazon Capital LLC and Rally Ventures. Foodsby, of Minneapolis, is a lunch delivery service.
Harbour BioMed said Aug. 27 that it raised $85 million in a Series B round led by GIC Private Ltd. New investors, including China Life Private Equity Investment Co and Vertex Ventures, along with Series A investors AdvanTech and Legend Capital also participated. Harbour BioMed is a biopharmaceutical company that is developing therapeutics for oncology and immunological diseases.
Sen Do Technology JSC said Aug 16 that it raised $51 million in a B round led by SBI Group. SoftBank Ventures Korea, Daiwa PI Partners, and SKS Ventures are investing. Existing investors also participated including FPT Group, eContext Asia, BEENEXT, and BEENOS. Sendo, of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, provides a consumer-to-consumer portal.
Deposit Solutions, of Hamburg, has raised $100 million in a round led by Vitruvian Partners. Kinnevik also invested as well as existing shareholders including e.ventures. The round valued Deposit Solutions, which provides a platform for savings deposits, at $500 million.
Backbone PLM said Aug 15 that it raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Signal Peak Ventures. Participants included Grotech Ventures, Spider Capital, Novel TMT Ventures, Beanstalk Ventures, Brainchild Holdings and Peterson Ventures. Backbone PLM provides a cloud-based, collaborative platform that aims to streamline the complex manufacturing process for consumer goods companies.
Y Combinator has set up a China arm led by former Baidu executive Qi Lu, Bloomberg said. Y Combinator will start its program in China as soon as next summer, the story said.
meQuilibrium said Aug. 14 that it raised $7 million in Series C funding led by HLM Venture Partners. Current investors Chrysalis Ventures and Safeguard Scientifics also participated. meQuilibrium, of Boston, is an HR tech company.
