SquareFoot said April 18 that it raised $7 million in a series A round led by Rosecliff Ventures. Also participating were Triangle Peak Partners, RRE Ventures, Primary Venture Partners, Armory Square Ventures, Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, among others. SquareFoot, of New York, is a commercial real estate technology company.
BeBop Sensors Inc said April 18 that it raised more than $10 million in a Series A round led by Bullpen Capital. BeBop, of Berkeley, California, provides smart fabric sensors.
Atalaya Capital Management is investing in Point and is buying up to $150 million the company’s structured home equity investment instruments. Point, of Palo Alto, California, invests in real-estate properties, particularly houses and condos owned by consumers. Point's investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Ribbit Capital, Bloomberg Beta, Vikram Pandit and Laurence Tosi.
LawGeex said April 17 that it closed a $12 million funding round led by Aleph. Previous investors, including Lool Ventures, also participated. LawGeex, of Tel Aviv, using AI to help in-house legal teams automate the review and approval of everyday contracts.
Medical Microinstruments SpA said April 18 that it raised 20 million euros ($24.5 million) in a Series A round led by Andera Partners, formerly known as Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners. Also participating were Panakes Partners and Fountain Healthcare, returning seed investor Sambatech, as well as two industry veterans Gus Castello, former SVP of product operations for Intuitive Surgical Inc and John Engels, founder of AxoGen Inc. Medical Microinstruments, of Calci, Italy, aims to improve clinical outcomes for patients undergoing microsurgery.
Funding Societies said April 18 that it raised $25 million in Series B funding led by SoftBank Ventures Korea. The funding round also included existing investors Sequoia India, Alpha JWC Ventures (Indonesia), and Golden Gate Ventures. Qualgro and LINE Ventures also participated. Funding Societies, of Singapore, is peer-to-peer lending platform.
Parsley Health has raised $10 million in funding led by FirstMark Capital, according to a blog post. Participating investors include Dr. Mark Hyman, director of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, as well as Amplo, Trail Mix Ventures, Combine and The Chernin Group. The founders of companies including Casper, Warby Parker, Flatiron Health, Bumble and WTRMLN Water also took part in the round. Parsley Health, of New York, aims to redefine primary care with a root cause and whole-person approach.
Applitools said April 17 that it raised $31 million in Series C funding led by OpenView. Also participating were Sierra Ventures, Magma Venture Partners, iAngels, and La Maison. Applitools, of San Mateo, California provides an AI- powered visual testing and monitoring solution.
Pioneer Square Labs has launched PSL Ventures, an $80 million fund that will invests in early-stage technology companies in the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S.
LNC Therapeutics said April 17 that it appointed Dr. Georges Rawadi as its new CEO. Rawadi was previously vice president of business development & intellectual property and a member of the management team at Celyad.
