Carpe, of Durham, North Carolina, is an antiperspirant lotion that aims to reduce embarrassing hand and foot sweat, especially in patients with hyperhidrosis.
Capital Southwest Corp said April 16 that it expanded its Senior Secured Credit Facility to $200 million from $180 million. Capital Southwest, an internally managed BDC, said it added a new lender.
Coinbase has acquired Earn.com, according to a blog post. Balaji Srinivasan, Earn.com’s co-founder and CEO, is joining Coinbase as chief technology officer. Earn.com lets senders use cryptocurrency to pay users when replying to emails or completing tasks. CNBC.com pegged the sale at $100 million.
Onapsis said April 13 that it raised a $31 million Series C round led by LLR Partners. Existing institutional investors .406 Ventures, Evolution Equity Partners and Arsenal Venture Partners also participated. Onapsis, of Boston, provides cybersecurity software that automates monitoring and protection of SAP and Oracle ERP and other applications.
Zaius said April 12 that it raised a $30 million Series B round led by Insight Venture Partners. Previous investors Matrix Partners, Underscore VC and Leaders Fund also participated in the round. Zaius, of Boston, provides a CRM for B2C marketers.
Enterprise Therapeutics Ltd said April 12 that it raised 29 million pounds ($41 million) in a Series B round co-led by Versant Ventures and Novartis Venture Fund. The syndicate also included new investor Forbion, founding investor Epidarex Capital and existing investor IP Group. Enterprise Therapeutics Ltd is a biopharmaceutical company that is developing therapies for the treatment of respiratory diseases.
An IPO may be in the future for Symphony Communication Services LLC, which just raised a D round that values the Wall Street online chat service at more than $1 billion. Symphony, Palo Alto, California, collected $67 million from new investors include Barclays, Bpifrance and CLSA. Bitmovin said Apirl 9 that it raised $30 million in Series B funding, led by Highland Europe. Also participating were existing investors Atomico, Constantia New Business, Dawn Capital and YCombinator. Bitmovin, of San Francisco, provides online video infrastructure software.
SenseTime said April 9 that it has raised $600 million in a Series C led by Alibaba Group. Temasek and Suning are also investing. SenseTime, of Beijing, is an artificial intelligence company that provides technology that analyzes faces and images on a wide scale.
By CHLOE., the vegan fast-casual restaurant chain, has raised $31 million in a Series A led by Bain Capital. Also participating in the round were Kitchen Fund, Collaborative Fund, TGP International/Qoot International, RiverPark Ventures and other strategic investors.
