CoinList said April 5 that it raised $9.2 million its initial funding round. Investors include Polychain Capital, Digital Currency Group, FBG Capital, Libertus Capital, Blockchain Capital, CoinFund and Electric Capital. The $9.2 million includes funds previously raised from Accomplice and Protocol Labs. CoinList is a technology platform that aims to connect accredited investors with vetted blockchain projects.
Zilingo has raised $54 million in a Series C led by Sofina, Burda Principal Investments and Sequoia Capital India. Amadeus Capital joined in the round as a new investor. All existing investors participated in the round including Tim Draper, SIG, Venturra, Beenext, Manik Arora and others. Zilingo, of Singapore, is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle marketplace.
IfOnly said April 4 that it raised a Series D funding led by Mastercard. Financial terms weren’t announced. Hyatt Hotels Corp, Sotheby’s, NEA, Founder’s Fund, Khosla Ventures, and TriplePoint Capital also participated in the round. IfOnly, of San Francisco, provides access to experiences that benefit worthy causes.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged Michael Liberty, founder of fintech unicorn Mozido, with fraud, alleging that he bilked hundreds of investors to pay for his lavish lifestyle. The SEC claims Liberty and four associates — including his wife Brittany and friend Paul Hess, owner of Braintree Hill Ventures — engaged in a fraudulent scheme to induce investors to buy securities in shell companies […]
DocuSign has filed to go public, according to a March 28 SEC filing. The San Francisco electronic signature service said it will trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker “DOCU.” DocuSign said it has a history of operating losses. It has yet to disclose how many shares it will sell or their price range. That information will come in future filings. Investors include Sigma Partners, Ignition Partners and Frazier Technology Ventures, the filing said.
Aster said March 29 that it has hired Jérome Joaug as a principal. Joaug is the co-founder of Nymbly and Cambridge Nanosystems.
LendingCrowd said March 28 that it secured another 2 million pounds ($2.8 million) in funding led by Equity Gap. Also participating were a number of private investors from Scotland’s entrepreneurial and finance scene and the Scottish Investment Bank. LendingCrowd, of Edinburgh, Scotland provides a peer to peer lending platform.
Adagene Inc said March 26 that it raised $50 million in series C funding led by Sequoia China. Also participating were New World TMT, AVIC Trust, King  Star Capital, Gopher Asset Management as well as other investors. Adagene, of Suzhou, China, is an antibody discovery and development company.
Polaris Private Equity said March 27 that it agreed to buy a majority of Menu A/S. Financial terms weren’t announced. The Hansen family is the seller. Menu, of Copenhagen, supplies furniture, accessories and lighting to professional and retail customers.
Matillion said March 22 that it raised $20 million in a Series B round led by Sapphire Ventures. Existing investor YFM Equity Partners also participated. Matillion, of U.K., is a software company that provides ELT solutions for cloud data platforms.
