Faction said March 15 that it raised $18 million in a Series B funding round led by River Cities Capital Funds. Other investors include Dell Technologies Capital while existing investors Sweetwater Capital, Meritage Funds and Charterhouse Strategic Partners also participated. Faction, of Denver, provides a multi-cloud platform.
UrWork (Beijing) Venture Investment Co Ltd said March 13 that it has closed its buy of China's Woo Space. Financial terms weren’t announced. Woo, of China, has 23 shared offices nationwide spanning nearly 1 million square feet (100,000 square meters).

MyCheck said March 6 that it has been acquired by O.G. Tech Ventures. Financial terms weren’t announced. MyCheck is the mobile payment technology provider for the hospitality industry. O.G. Tech Ventures is the tech investment VC fund of Eyal Ofer’s Ofer Global group.
TeraPore Technologies said March 6 that it completed a $6 million series A round led by Anzu Partners. RA Capital Management, Artiman Ventures and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati also participated. TeraPore, of South San Francisco, develops advanced nanofiltration membrane systems for bioprocess and other applications.
Camera IQ said March 6 that its seed round closed at $4.3 million. The round, led by Shasta Ventures, also included participation from Betaworks, Homebrew and WndrCo. Camera IQ, of Santa Monica, California is a camera experience manager.
Verodin said March 6 that Major General Earl D. Matthews, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), has joined the company as a senior vice president and chief strategy officer. Matthews previously served as vice president and general manager of enterprise security solutions for DXC Technology. Iovation, the fraud-detection company backed by Sapphire Ventures, is up for sale, three sources said. Raymond James is advising on the process, one of the sources said.
