Sun Basket said July it raised $15 million in Series B financing led by Accolade Partners. New investors Founders Circle and Shea Ventures participated as well as existing investors, including Paul Allen's Vulcan Capital, PivotNorth Capital, Relevance Capital, Filter14, Baseline Ventures and other high profile investors. San Francisco-based Sun Basket is an organic meal kit provider that delivers organic, non-GMO ingredients and recipes weekly to customers.
Renovate Simply has closed its seed round. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Digitech Venture Capital Fund Inc, Digitech Venture Capital Fund Inc and a number of angel investors took part in the round. Austin-based Renovate Simply is a website that connects homeowners to contractors.

Participating investors in this round include Franklin Templeton Investments, New Leaf Venture Partners, funds advised by Clough Capital Partners LP and Wellington Capital Management LLP, and other undisclosed funds specializing in life sciences. Crispr is a biopharmaceutical company.

ClearlySo said June 14 that Octopus has taken a 12.3 percent stake in the company as part of a 1.25 million pounds ($1.78 million) growth funding round. Octopus will become the single largest investor of ClearlySo. The company said seven existing investors reinvested, including Big Society Capital, and eight new angel investors subscribed. London-based ClearlySo, a so-called “impact” investment bank, works with businesses and funds with a goal of providing social, ethical and/or environmental impact along with financial return.
Vendanta Biosciences said June 6 that it raised $50 million equity financing from investors including Rock Springs Capital, Invesco Asset Management and Health For Life Capital (Seventure). PureTech also joined in the financing. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Vendanta is developing therapies designed to modulate the human microbiome.
Hooch Inc said May 31 that it raised $950,000 in a pre-series A interim funding round led by Blue Scorpion Investments LP. New Yok-based Hooch is a members only cocktail society app.
