Google has agreed to acquire North, a Kitchener, Ontario-based wearable technology company, according to a blog post by the latter company.

Google has agreed to acquire North, a Kitchener, Ontario-based wearable technology company, according to a blog post by the latter company. No financial terms were disclosed. Founded in 2012 as Thalmic Labs, North makes augmented reality eye-wear called Focals. Its investors include Amazon Alexa Fund, Fidelity Investments Canada, First Round Capital, Inovia Capital, Intel Capital and Spark Capital.
