Dasaint Inc. received an undisclosed round of financing led by Google Ventures and joined by existing investors Benhamou Global Ventures, Floodgate and Radar Partners.
The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company said Monday it would use to the money to reach into new markets and support research and product development.
The company previously had raised $2 million from investors, including Maples Investment and Floodgate, according to data from Thomson Reuters, publisher of this blog. Dasient co-founders Neil Daswani and Shariq Rizvi are both former Googlers and launched Dasaint in 2008.
The anti-malware company said in a press release that last year it achieved triple digit customer growth and doubled the size of its staff.
