LP Perspectives Survey

In a stark turnaround from last year, investors are feeling much more positive about venture funds, according to Venture Capital Journal’s sixth annual LP survey. Thirty-three percent of the 107 institutional investors surveyed for our LP Perspectives 2025 Study say they plan to invest more in venture funds in the next 12 months, a significant increase from just 20 percent who said that last year.

FINDINGS FROM THE SURVEY

METHODOLOGY

How we compiled the LP Perspectives survey

The LP Perspectives 2025 Study is Private Equity International’s annual survey of institutional investors’ approaches to alternative asset classes. It provides a granular view of the market, both current and future, by gathering insight on LPs’ asset allocations, propensity to invest and performance predictions.

It is a global study, reflected in the questions and the respondents, which allows for meaningful views and cross-regional comparisons across asset classes.

The question set is reviewed annually in order to reflect market developments and shifts in sentiment. For the 2025 study, we surveyed 107 institutional investors. Fieldwork was carried out in September and October 2024. Participation is always anonymous.
