Sequoia, Google Ventures Join $32M Round For HubSpot

Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures and Salesforce.com joined a $32 million Series D round for HubSpot, the companies said Tuesday.

The funding was the first time the three firms have invested together in a startup.

The round brings to $65 million the capital HubSpot, a maker of online marketing and Web analysts software, has raised since 2007.

Existing investors General Catalyst, Matrix Partners and Scale Venture Partners joined the Series D round.

Some of the new money will provide liquidity for existing shareholders. The company raised a $16 million Series C in 2009, a $12 million Series B in 2008, and a $5 million Series A in 2007.

It claims its software is used by 4,000 businesses.
